A pair of specially shaped air hammer punches specifically designed to easily release and stake crush type axle nuts commonly found on both 2 and 4 wheel drive vehicles, reducing the chance of causing damage to axle shaft and threads. The kit includes a removal punch with a curved release tip to disengage the stake (crimp) and a flat bladed nut punch to reset the stake once the nut has been refitted to the axle.

The release tip has a curved profile to allow easy access to the stack to fully disengage the crimp without damaging the axle shaft or thread.
Flat stake punch is used to set the nut, preventing it from loosening.
Applications include: wheel bearings, prop-shaft and drive flange stake nuts across many makes.
Length: 178mm, shank: 10mm. Manufactured from SCM440 alloy steel.
Designed for use with an air hammer to easily lock and unlock axle shaft stake nuts, such as Laser Air Hammer, Part No. 6031 (or similar).
